I Turn My Camera On

Listen to the song: I Turn My Camera On

Go ahead. Crank it up.

It's been a long, red-hot, twisted, and even a "cool at times" kind of a summer so far - not perfect by a long shot but OK

long....
red
red-hot
twisted

OK then, very twistedand even cool
kind
of a summer
so far ........

not perfect by a long shot

but OK

Speaking of hot, remember the song, "When You're Hot You're Hot?" Jerry Reed - he died last year.

Which leads me to wonder. And what I wonder is - I wonder if all the traumatized Jackson fans of the world, such as myself, are feeling a little more back to normal now that we've begun recovering from our massive consumptions of the super-freak details of his life. Such personal details - from the time Michael was the target of the sperm that would cause his birth to the time his vitiligo would be permanently cured - phew what a feast of super-freak details. When Brooke Shields saw Michael perched in the crescent of the moon?? When she gazed up there to the sky with those tearful eyes and that angst during the historical event and celebration of his life, I think that perching vision I had was probably about the climax point for me. Undoubtedly, we've evolved to got some screwed up perches. I'm sure that some, including me, will always feel something inside whenever a favorite MJ song is heard.

I wonder if telescope sales skyrocketed. You never know what you might see perched somewhere up there.

Back to Jerry Reed! Ya know - there is something seriously wrong with you if you don't feel like howling at the moon when you hear some good ole Jerry Reed. I think I hear Brooke's theme song now.

Jerry Reed, When you're hot you're hot!! MP-master-3 song

Whoa whoa whoa - don't go turning the camera song off just yet. Let Spoon finish with their camera. Download Jerry last. Yeah - save the best for last.

Grab Amos up, too.
Jerry Reed, Amos Moses MP 3 Gator song

You might as well grab East Bound And Down, loaded up and truckin, we gonna do what they say can't be done.

Jerry Reed, East Bound And Down MP 3 loaded song

Everybody needs to do what they say can't be done.

Why look! It's Rockin' Robin. Perched on the fence!

Guess what this is.

It's the same thing this is.

And it's the same thing this is

and this

And what that is is a Green Heron. Is is. Yes yes.

The sky was a "battery" last night, fully charged. Watching a battery of Green Herons coming from the northern sky and going towards the creek to roost in the woods is a sight and sound that helps charge your head battery. I was on the desolate road again - not a soul in sight, about 8:30, just the right time of night. The truck bumper is always a good seat to watch the trees, and so I took a seat and turned my camera on and started watching the trees.

"started watching the trees"

That probably sounds like a real weird thing to do to some people - to start watching trees. Truth be known, around here it's weird to not watch trees. You need to watch who you're talking to, ya know?

Some people regard dead or diseased trees as eye sores that need removing ASAP. What's their problem? I guess they can't help it. They seem to have been born that way.

After two Green Herons in the battery of Green Herons perched for a few minutes in the dead trees, they sounded off to announce they were "East Bound And Down, Loaded Up and Truckin"

How about that? Green Herons coming in for the last "perch-off point" before heading towards that great crescent perch in the sky.

It's hot as hell outside today. The thermostat on the porch says 93. I've gotten behind in blogging. I was thinking about stopping blogging, but I enjoy it too much. I love turning my camera on.

Now on to the topic of music. And hawks. I spent some time with a beauty the other night. The wonderful experience convinced me more than ever that to watch the trees makes the uneasy easier. Something always happens, and it never fails - there's a comfortable feeling afterwards.

The hawk and the song in the blog below are two very, very special things to me.
